Northern Lights Matte Paste
Northern Lights was created out of our love for natural texture and looks in the care industry. Getting my start in the salon industry, creating a product like this has always been a goal for me. I truly believe we're bridging a gap between healthy home-brewed & chemical based cosmetic lab-made products. We always get the job done with the hair & scalps health in mind.

Overall I like this product much better than I thought after using it the first time. I have medium to short thick wavy hair and currently style as a comb over. I typically prefer a clean put together like I was getting with a pomade but they are too shiny and are hard to style once my hair starts growing out too much. Also pomades had kind of a crispy feel that was hard to fix during the day if need be. I love that this product allows me to run my hands through my hair during the day and do little touch ups like that. It does a decent job keeping hair off my forehead which I hate. It is rather difficult to work in though. Most reviewers online say to do it with dry or almost dry hair and doing so with this has a lot of tug and pull which makes that difficult. I feel like it's difficult for me right now to style it to look clean and neat. My hair is due for a haircut soon I've found that styling my hair with this while damp can make it even harder to get a clean look. I've found that getting it close and then running my hands through it later seems to help it sit better. It's a bit messier but still put together and I really like it. It does a good job keeping my hair in one general direction without too many fly aways or frizz. I would recommend you try this product, just know it's tough to work in your hair dry and may not look as clean and put together. But maybe my last hair cut wasn't great either. Worth a try.
Only product that stays in my hair all day and smells incredible.
First time trying the shear revival products and wasn’t disappointed. The scent is practically lemons with a hint of citrus, not bad but little tangy for me. Going to try the Gray Ghost next for a better hold and possibly a better scent.
All in all, I would recommend.
I've tried many hair stylers to accommodate my hair and nothing comes close to Northern Lights. It's not too thick, not to hard remove from the jar, and goes on my hair without too much trouble. Plus, the hold is the best I've tried. It's firm but not hard and allows for near effortless restyling. If I could have one hair product for the rest of my life, no question, it would be Northern Lights.
The best matte paste on the market! Period!
I've tried many matte pastes, clays etc.. Almost every home-brewed and non home-brewed.. And this is like a beautiful combination of a matte paste & clay. It's like a blend. You get the best of both worlds. It's light in the hair like a paste is supposed to be, yet, resilient all day long, with an all day control. You get that airy fluffy effect but also, the nice thickening effect and texture offered by the clays in the formula.
The scent is this nice orange - lemon scent, very subtle, and natural. It literally dissappears right away which is great as it won't give you any headaches like most other products with super strong scents can. It applies very easily, with a slight grip, which helps style the hair very effortlessly. You get a healthy looking matte finish. It washes out super easily. It never gets greasy or anything like that. Because all the ingredients are natural, it doesn't irritate nor make your scalp itch which is great as I have a sensitive scalp. I also like using a little bit in damp hair as a pre styler and blow-dry it in. Gives a nice, airy, voluminous style, with thickness and beautiful texture.
To me, the best matte paste on the market.
