Crystal Lake Styling Pomade

Crystal Lake is a medium hold, lightweight, waxy cream pomade. Always keeping the hair’s health in mind, each jar is handmade with quality plant-derived ingredients, unlike a lot of water based products on the market which are full of harsh chemicals and can make your hair flaky or dry. Crystal Lake does not harden up, allowing you to restyle all day like a traditional oil based pomade. Added bonus: it washes out with shampoo.  Get ready to revive your hair...again and again and again...

No Flyaways! Easy to Use for Beginners

As the title says, this is my very first pomade. After doing research across a variety of companies, I settled with this one (as it also aligns with my personal beliefs).
I have medium/long, wavy/curly hair. The kind that "poofs" when you brush it. I always hated the "poof" effect, which is why I ended up shaving the bottom layer of my hair in hopes of settling it. Anyway, after learning about pomades being an option, I decided to try this one due to the natural ingredients and being water-based. Turns out this product helped a tonnnn; I no longer have flyaways at the top and side of my head and my hair does not look like a puffy ball anymore. It actually has provided defined volume and my hair still feels silky smooth, even after using a considerable amount. No grease, no pasty or oily feeling leftover.
It is best to use it on wet hair + comb in my experience, and just build up a bit more after it dries down. I have now ordered my second jar in a full size this time.

Excellent quality!

Shipped very quickly! It has the perfect amount of hold, not too heavy but definitely not a light hold. My hair feels great after washing it out, too!

High quality product, does as described

Quite satisfied with the product. Comes in a premium packaging, has a pleasant scent that is not over powering. Emulsifies easily in the hand, application is also very easy. Provides a medium hold and can easily be used in professional settings. Good enough for my short and wavy hair. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for an all natural product which does not damage hair and nourishes at the same time. Washability is easy and it does not leave residue after shampoo. Restyling is easy throughout the day with just your hands or comb.

Miss the OG formula

Miss the original crystal lakes they launched… was much easier to manipulate and the mango smell was amazing. I’m not a fan of the new formula.

Shiny and light

This product is more of a light hold (unless you use large amounts) and shinier than just a natural finish. That would be fine if that's how it was marketed but the medium hold and natural finish claim is a bit misleading. I would've given it 5 stars if it was marketed as a light hold, medium shine product. In that category, it's great.
