Crafted For One

Northern Lights was created out of our love for natural texture and looks in the hair care industry. We truly tried bridging the gap between mindfully crafted & chemical based cosmetic lab-made products with this one. Its namesake comes from "Screaming To The Northern Lights" by the New Jersey band, The I In Team. The skyline on the label is actually made up of sound waves from the song. The song was a favorite of a dear friend who passed. We thought this would be a beautiful way to pay hommage.

A Winner - Close to Perfect

I like this paste a ton, and it instantly became part of my main rotation. I've tried a number of SR styling products now, and this is probably the best fit for my thick, wavy hair. The others were obviously well made, but all have proved a little too shiny/greasy to hold my heavy (edging toward oily) hair in place. This is much closer to what I need: It's lighter in weight and more capable of a "dry" hold. I only deduct the final star because it's still less of a paste and more of a cream. But overall, I'm really happy with it for looser-look days, and use it regularly. I also STRONGLY approve of the option to buy 1 oz. containers. If you enjoy a lot of different products, or want to travel with you favorites, this is a great option (why doesn't everyone do this?)!

Best there is

One of the best paste in the market. To get more hold and control it has to be used as a pre and post syler then you will get good firm hold, matte finish and high control and endurance.
For thicker hair people like me make sure to apply 3 scoops(pre+post). Thin hair people may avoid this one as it may not provide good hold. This is meant for thicker hair. Creative labelling of the jar and wonderful scent makes it perfect.

Holy Grail?

I bought this one and Grey Ghost in the small sizes. Love both of them. Honestly they both perform flawlessly. This one is a bit grippier and more matt but actually is similar in that within 30 minutes your hair isn’t crunchy or unnatural. I really like this company and plan to visit next time I am in Asbury.

Nice Matte Paste

Truly it is a great matte paste. Once placed it holds strong and does not add any unnatural shine. However it is difficult to wash off and applying it can sometimes be a hassle.
