Versatile! Gray Ghost with Texture.

Grabbed myself a 1 oz jar as I wasn’t sure I’d love the product. Slowly but surely this product has replaced Northern Lights for me. I like a little more shine and that’s normally why I go for Gray Ghost so this one now sits in between Northern Lights and Gray Ghost. The ingredients, the way it scoops out is very much like a cream pomade and reminds me mostly of Gray Ghost but with kaolin clay in it for texture. Going to buy a full sized jar soon. In short: consistency of the product is like Gray Ghost, performance is like Northern Lights with a little more shine and a little more hold.

I usually don't have the best luck with shear revival. The finish is too dry on most products. I got wind of Upstate blues and gave it a try and it's gonna be my new go to. I have thick, wavy hair with quite a few cowlicks and this stuff works perfectly. Less dry, better hold than northern lights. The first shear revival product I give a hard 5/5 to.

Amazing!

This is pretty much a perfect product. Nice waxy pomade with some clay/salt towards the bottom of the ingredients. Not many products from home brewers in this category which is crazy to me! It is a super versatile product that can be used for neat or textured styles. Gives a nice natural finish which is my preferred finish. Not too dry nor greasy. The scent, while not my preference, is a nice fresh woodsy scent. Pretty neutral so it will not overpower but, I do catch whiffs from time to time. This is my daily driver going forward.

Hair type: Dry wavy/curly hair. Currently rocking undercut side part with about 2 inches on top.
