I have been using Northern Lights matte paste for about 1 week now. It is a decent product that does what it claims, however I do wish the hold was better. I have to add a touch of Hairspray to get a better hold through the day. It's a very light product so it's not heavy or weighing down my hair but it could use a bit my strength in my opinion. If I apply too much product it can get a little bit shiny for my liking since I prefer a matte/dry look to my hair. Btw my hair is somewhat short with a quiff hairstyle.

Holds well. Just a small amount is needed. Works in humid hot weather as well.

Pretty solid matte paste with a medium-firm hold. It can be a love hate relationship. While it’s usually a pretty easy application, it can sometimes feel overly waxy and lend to more shine. Other times, it performs well with good hold and a matte appearance. Can create texture but not like clays. When layering into shorter to medium hair it has performed better for me vs longer hair styles.
